Forest Honey
Intensely aromatic Chestnut and Oak Honey from the dense forests of central Rhodope, in northern Greece, riche in trace elements, with strong antioxidant activity four times than of other countries! It is produced from the nectar and honeydew secretions of the Chestnut, which is considered a good beekeeping plant and quite widespread in the mountains of Greece. The taste of Chestnut Honey is so intense and slightly bitter, that a small proportion can overwhelm the taste of Honey. It crystallises slowly, after 1-2 years.Crystallisation is a natural phenomenon of Honey. Liquefaction it by placing the jar in warm water up to 50 Celsius degrees.
